Detroit, MI – Michigan State Police are looking for a white Chevrolet that fled the scene on Monday, October 5th (date on dashcam is wrong) after it cut off a tractor-trailer forcing it to overturn on southbound Interstate 75.MSP said troopers responded around 10:50 a.m. to a hit-and-run crash on I-75 near Milwaukee in Detroit, closing the freeway for about two hours. A preliminary investigation and a dash camera video taken from another truck released Tuesday by MSP shows that a United Van Lines truck was hit when a white Chevy car cut through the gore point at the Interstate 94 exit ramp and struck the passenger side of the truck, causing it to overturn and strike the median wall.The driver of the Chevy fled the scene. The car should have heavy damage to the driver’s side quarter panel, according to state police.The Michigan Department of Transportation reported on Monday there was no damage to the interchange supports or piers in the area and the pavement suffered “minor scraping” that does not need to be repaired.There was a small fuel leakage, which was handled by fire personnel, MDOT officials said.
